"A Writers Pen"
When a writer's pen gathers thought
in expression of the heart:
Words embrace the depth of meaning
desired to impart.
Language is like a painters brush
delicately painting the passion deep
within.
Colours of the heart so brilliantly
alive:
Like a masters bow means life, to the
strings of a violin.
And because the heart becomes so vibrant,
the greatest desire is to share.
To touch the heart of another through
expression:
Look at me... Can you see what is there?
Can you see into the heart, touched
with beauty?
Do gathered words stir at all within?
Can a writer's pen bring to light:
How precious to life? your heart to
win.
A writer trusts the pen
to convey expressions of the heart.
Yet, words become empty visions
when the light leads into dark.
