never seen their father cry; therefore, how would they know it is any different when in fact men do cry!  Pay close attention now.  The same people who teach little boys men don't cry are teaching little girls the same message. As boys become more deeply involved with the male image, their activities present information which can and often does evolve into the ability to shut down feelings...
 

A boy learning how to ride a bike falls down; remember boys don't cry.  A boy learning how to catch a ball is hit with the ball; it hurts, but boys don't cry.
We can get into football, hockey, other contact sports; and the same principal applies, only now more stringent than ever.  When playing sports, you must learn to expect and accept pain due to injury.  In order to accept pain you learn to shut down the feelings that come with it.  The deeper a boy becomes attached to that male image which excludes the expression of pain and sensitivity, the more he has to shut down.
