FEELINGS HAVE NO GENDER
Before we begin to talk about feelings and how feelings can affect our life, we need to understand that feelings have no gender. When a baby is born, only the parent of the baby and those old enough to realize sexual differences are concerned with the sexual gender of that child.
When I think of a baby being delivered, in my mind's eye I see and hear the spanking of a baby's behind, which is immediately followed by the sound of a baby crying. This illustration shows us the first thing a newborn experiences in life: the feeling of pain. That slap on the behind is probably more startling than painful. Nevertheless the result is the same: they cry. Because the result is the same, I think we can safely come to the conclusion that feelings have no gender.
Now that we have established a theory, let us examine a statement we have all made or heard at one time or another.
"You can't possibly understand what I feel; you're a man/woman!"
